The Cat Walk "Magnetic" Cat Door is designed to be installed into doors from 5/8" to 2 1/4" inch thickness.The frame of this pet door is made of a durable, easy-to-clean plastic and the pet flap is made of an unbreakable material called Makrolon. This unit features a magnetic locking mechanism that effectively restricts the access of animals back into your house. The pet door also has a 4-way locking feature that allows for controlled access by using one of four operation modes: in-only, out-only, completely locked, or completely open. Additional tags can be added so that any number of cats can use this door.

Note: You may experience some interference if installing this cat door in a metal door. You can minimize the interference by using thin wood sheeting / plywood as an insulating frame that the cat door mounts to.

Great little cat door	August 16, 2007

My wife purchased this door for our cats. We were having an issue with strays coming following our cats through the old door we had. keeping a collar on our cats was difficult at first, but they made the adjustment, and we are no longer feeding the whole neighborhood, and don't have unusual stains on the furniture and carpet.

I was very happy to find out that this pet door doesnt require batteries. I was worried that the door would stop working while i was out of town or something, but i dont have to worry about that with this door. Thanks for great door.
