Dog Containment SystemsElectric Dog Fences (In Ground and Wireless)
Dog Containment Systems are designed to keep your dog within a given boundary. There are several systems on the market that can achieve this. There are benefits and drawbacks to each system. Typically you will choose the system that best fits your situation (For example; permanent installation for a homeowner versus traveling with your dog).
In Ground Containment Systems: Use a buried wire to create a desired boundary for your dog. This is accomplished by a system that includes a receiver collar that the dog or dogs wear and a boundary, either an in-ground fence (wire), or a boundary created by a wireless transmitter. The boundary created by using an in-ground wire allows you to control and design the area you wish to keep the dog within. This is a preferred method vs. a wireless system for most customers as it can conform to the shape of your yard or landscape.
Wireless Containment Systems:
These Systems are broken down into "Indoor" and "Outdoor" use. The basic difference is in the weatherized transmitter base. Indoor systems are not designed for moisture etc. like the more rugged outdoor systems.
Contain and Train Combination Systems:
Incorporate a remote training feature that is built-in to the receiver collar the dog wears. A remote hand-held transmitter is included with the system that allows the owner to apply correction to the dog while it is being contained as well as when not within the containment boundary (Ex: for walks or at the park).
