Doormate SystemAutomatic Patio Door Opening System
The
Doormate System is an ideal choice over conventional pet doors. The
Doormate attaches to your existing patio door slider. Unlike standard
pet doors, the Doormate does not require the customer to cut large
holes in his/her door or wall to install the pet door. In fact the
compact design of the unit, allows it to remain almost unseen at the
back of your sliding door panel. The addition of the optional Pet-Prox
proximity sensor to your pet's collar allows the patio door to slide
open automatically when your pet approaches from either side, and then
securely locks after they come in or go out.
The Doormate is designed for larger pets (Over 50lbs,).
This unit will accelerate the sliding door when
closing motion to ensure that the slider seals tightly against the wall. Due to
this feature, it may be dangerous for smaller pets to use the Doormate System.
Note: There is NO safety-reverse mechanism on this door.
Most times a conventional door mount or wall mount pet door will provide you will less maintenance and more energy efficiency.
Our Doormate System comes with: *Two wireless remote units that can be hand-held or mounted on wall *Two pet collar tags *Pet-Proximity Sensor Unit (Other retailers sell this separately) *Everything needed to install and operate for immediate use by your pet *Unlimited toll free customer and technical support
The Doormate System is a high-tech solution for
patio sliding doors. It does take some effort and patience to install and
program this unit and generally takes approximately 45 minutes.
Generally, a Patio Pet Door is a slightly easier solution to the issue of a pet
door; however, the Doormate is nice for large-breed dogs. Note: The
Doormate System should not be the first choice in trying to solve the issue of
pet access.
Customers, who have had the Doormate System for many years,
are very happy with it; however, it does require regular maintenance and will
need to have the batteries replaced every 3-6 months depending on usage.
Call our Pet Door Experts if you have any questions or concerns at 1-800-829-7876.
(Special Note: The Doormate must be
mounted to the floor via 2 "L" brackets, therefore it is not
recommended for 'tile' floors. The force required to operate the Doormate
causes the unit to shift slightly during use.
This is normal but may cause cracking and chipping of tile flooring.)

Important: Your sliding
door must be to the interior of the fixed panel for this system to work.

Note:
Please review return policy for this product |

Important Points: (please review before purchasing) -Your sliding doors must be at least 6 ft. wide (measure the overall width of both sliding and fixed doors) -This will not work for 3 or more sliding panel doors. (Must be 1-stationary, 1-slider configuration). -The sliding door must be on the interior side of
the house, with the fixed panel on the outside. -If the sliding doors are RECESSED from the surface
of your interior wall, this situation may cause operational problems with the
Doormate System. -The Doormate DOES NOT have an optical eye to back-up when something is in the way of the sliding door -Under no circumstances should this be used with cats or pets under 50lbs. -When the Doormate is engaged, the sliding door
is locked and cannot be opened manually. Take a remote when going outside. -The Doormate CAN be disengaged, allowing for
manual use of the sliding door (accomplished with a lever release). -Installation WILL REQUIRE THE DRILLING
OF HOLES into the bottom corner of the sliding door and into the floor.
-Returned Item Conditions -There is a mandatory 10% re-stocking fee for returning this item. -The returned items must be in original new packaging.
