The smaller access door for pets measures 7" wide by 10"high and will work very well for any sized cat or smaller dogs and puppies.  This pet opening has a pull latch handle that will stay closed when you choose.  This gate is very versatile for most any room in the house where it is desirable to use a pressure mounted gate.  You can customize this unit by using the 2-extensions included with your purchase or add optional extensions for greater widths.
