The Ideal Draft-Stopper pet door comes with a dual pane, segmented Lexan flap to provide an energy efficient seal. Eight magnets are used along the sides of the flap in order to hold it in place and keep the outside weather from blowing in. The frame itself is made with aluminum and finished with plastic corner pieces. A plastic panel can be dropped into place in order to block off access. The segmented flap consists of air filled panels that are connected with a flexible rubber gasket. This allows the flap to easily flex back and for forth making it very pet friendly. This door seals very well and is a great alternative to more higher priced models advertised.

The DraftStopper door is primarily designed for dogs, however cats have used used this pet door with some time to get used to. We do not recommend this door for small cats or toy breed dogs. Small pets will have an easier time using traditional flexible vinyl flaps.
