The DraftStopper Replacement Flap is segmented flap with with 3 individual panels.  These "panels" are made of polycarbonate, sometimes marketed under the name brand of Lexan.   Each panel has an air chamber that provides superior insulation.  These segments are connected by a rubber gasket material to allow flexibility.

Instructions for Replacing

Remove the 4 screws that secure the frame of the pet door..  The pet opening then will pull apart into two pieces..  Use a needle nose pliers to pull the rod out from the old flap, this detaches it from the frame.  Insert the rod back into your new flap and into the frame on the other side so it is secured.  Re-assemble the two frame pieces back together and replace the 4 screws that secure the frame.
