The Ideal Electronic Small Pet patio insert is designed for all sized cats. This
cat door is perfect for keeping out other neighborhood and feral cats.
The collar tag is magnet and triggers the locking mechanism on the flap
as the cat reaches the door threshold.
Video above describes the pet door used in this patio insert The electronic door controls access into the house only. Any pet can leave the house, even one without a collar tag.

want to disengage the electronic access, allowing you to use the insert
in manual mode without a collar tag.
These inserts come in three different colors, however, the pet door is only available in an off-white color. Extra collars with tags are available for $15.00 each.
The
Inserts come in three standard height ranges. Each range has a 2.5"
adjustment range; making it very easy to install this unit.
The step over RISE
is 4" on all inserts using the Ideal Electronic cat door, (This is the
height your cat steps over when going through the pet opening).
Custom
heights use a custom made extension piece that sleeves in the top of
the insert, extending the panel to your sliding door custom opening
height. Extension pieces are made based on the measurement of your
sliding door opening, therefore an accurate measurement will ensure a
properly fitted insert.
Collar tag must touch the bottom of the pet door in order to activate.
This is not a proximity sensing model. (Note: Unit requires a 9-volt battery, included. Collar tags do not require any batteries).

The top spring-loaded adjusting section of the Patio Pet Door
appears as an "H" piece when viewed from the side. The overall width
of this piece is 13/16" (Will fit into most any sliding glass door
track). The spring-loaded adjustment provides
for a 2.5" range for proper fitting into your opening. Most top
tracks in sliding glass doors do not have any center rails, however, if
you do have this feature then the Insert can straddle any
rail at the top 5/8" wide or narrower. The
spring-loaded
top is secured with 2 thumbscrew locks, accessible from the interior
only, so that someone from the exterior of the house
would not be able to compress or remove the unit. |

5/8". A semi-circle, "C" channel is centered and runs the length of
the bottom. This "C" channel is design to straddle the center rail in
the channel on the floor that your sliding glass door follows.
By
straddling this center rail, the Ideal Patio Pet Door will remain
centered to the frame of your sliding door when closed to this unit.
Note: If
the center rail in the channel on the floor is wider than 5/16", then
this patio Insert will not be able to straddle it and as a result may
not fit properly in your opening. |
