The Ideal Electronic Pet Door is designed for most cats. The pet door can be mounted on that are 1 1/4" to 1 3/4" thick. There is no wall-mounting kit available for this pet door, so all wall installations require the fabrication of a tunnel. To operate the electronic, controlled-access feature of this pet door, the pet wears a small waterproof, magnetic collar tag that unlocks the door for the pet. The electronic locking mechanism on this pet door is unidirectional and only blocks unwanted animals from entering the home; any pet may leave the home, even those without a collar tag. The door requires a 9 Volt battery (included) for operation and a magnetic collar tag that attaches to most standard collars.
