The Ideal Window Insert boasts one of the largest adjustable ranges among pet window inserts. This feature means that the insert can be moved easily and still fit securely in most windows in your home. Both ends of the unit are spring-loaded and adjust easily allowing for almost 5 inches of adjustment.

This unit also has a 4-way locking feature that allows for controlled access by using one of four operation modes: in-only, out-only, completely locked, or completely open. The flap is rigid plastic with a magnetic strip along the bottom to hold flap in closed position. This unit is only available in white.

Sash Window Pet Door

Installation Instructions 

1. Raise your sash window pane. Hold Secure.
2. Foam Bumper Seal is included. Cut 2 pieces of bumper seal to the same length as the width of your window.  Peel off protective backing and attach foam along top and bottom edge of pet door.
3. Place the pet door assembly between the window sill and the open window.
4. Lower the window pane until it touches down onto the pet door assembly.
5. Turn the silver knobs counter-clockwise one turn to release the end spacers.
6. Pet door assembly should now fit the window snugly on both ends.
7. Turn silver knobs clockwise to lock ends in position.
8. Vinyl Draft Stopper extrusion is included. Cut to required length. Clean window surface and peel off protective backing.  Attach along top edge of the lower window. Make sure inside flexible edge touches glass.

 

***If knobs interfere with bottom sill, you may remove knobs as follows:

1. Take out 2 screws that hold adjustable end extrusions.
2. Push steel rods into long bottom extrusions about 1/8” below surface. Locking knob and pin will then pull out.
3. Re-assemble adjustable end extrusions.

 
Note: Leave top knobs in place to lock your pet door in position.
