Perfect Fit Infrared Cat Insert controls access in
ONE DIRECTION, entry only.
This door is the best choice for allowing your cat access while keeping out strays and feral cats. The Infrared Cat Flap is designed to be a more accurate and
discriminatory pet door. For instance, it is possible to have two cats,
each using their own door and unable to use each others. The infra red
collar tag is much easier for the door to detect, this along with the
capability of adjusting the timed lock allows the lock to react quickly
to keep other cats in or to react slower to allow more time for older
cats to approach the door before it re-locks. Flap is lined with a magnetic weather proof seal.
Uses 4 AA batteries or can be used with the optional A/C adapter.
Comes with one collar tag. Additional collar tags available. Unit will arrive as two shipments, customer easily installs pet door into panel.

IR Cat Flap Programming Instructions
Step 1) Place the batteries into the collar tag. It should flash 3 times and continue to flash once every 2 minutes.
Step 2) Hang the tag onto your cat’s collar facing forward.
Step 3) Plug in or insert the batteries into the pet door.
Step 4) Approach the flap of your door with the collar key. The red LED will stop flashing and the unit will emit a high pitched beep.
You cat flap is now programmed to recognize the collar key.
Note that if you have additional collar tags,
they must be the same color as the tag that
your door was programmed with. The flap
does not need to be programmed for every key.
AC Adapter for the Staywell Model 500
Installation Instructions
Step 1) Remove the rear section from the 500 front half. Also remove the four way locking knob from the front of the unit.
Step 2) Insert the upper plug into the top two pronged receptacle.
Step 3) Slide the lower receptacle into it’s slot and tighten the nut on the outside. Route the wire so that it will not interfere with the reassembly of the pet door.
Step 4) Snap the two halves of the pet door back together. Replace the four way locking knob.
Step 5) Tighten the nut to the plug receptacle a second time.
Step 6) Plug the AC adapter into the bottom of your 500 pet door and into a wall outlet.
Resume use as normal

Release automatic height adjustment by
turning knobs located near the top of the panel counter-clockwise and pressing.
Height adjustment panel should fully extend upward (pull upon the panel if
necessary).Open sliding glass/screen doorInsert panel with knobs facing inside. Place top edge into top track of
sliding glass/screen door. Lift up and swing lower portion of panel either onto
ridge, in bottom inside track or screen track.
