The Petsafe PRF-3004W Premium In-Ground Fence containment system is safe and effective for all dogs over 8 lbs. The containment area is made by laying wire in the desired perimeter configuration either underground or even on a fixed object, such as a fence. A radio signal is transmitted through the wire creating the boundary. Your pet will wear a receiver collar that sends two types of signals to the dog. The first signal occurs when the dog approaches the boundary (Warning Zone)... the receiver collar will emit a warning beep. If the dog continues towards the boundary (Static Correction Zone), a second static correction signal will get his attention that the boundary should not be crossed. Any number of dogs can be added to this system by purchasing additional receiver collars. The PRF-3004W containment system has the capability to cover an area up to 10 acres.

This system uses the PetSafe Ultralight Receiver PUL-250; having 1-static correction setting and warning beep. This collar is designed for all dogs over 8 lbs that are easy to average to train. You can add additional collars that match your dog's temperament, they will all work on this in-ground fence system. This mix and match feature of the PetSafe brand invisible fences allow you to customize your unit to the type of dogs being contained.
