The Ruff Weather Protector Series Wall Model is a dual, flexible vinyl flap, pet door for walls that range in thickness from 1 1/4" to 7 1/4". The unique feature of the Protector Series is the noise alarm security panel. This panel will emit an audible alarm when removed from the pet door. The security panel itself is plastic with a the added electronic feature. This alarm is useful for customers with small children who may be worried when their toddler would try to gain access to the locked pet door. This alarm is not associated with the function of the pet door as the pet uses it. It also has no ability to add ANY level of enhanced security. It simply performs the function of notification when the security panel is removed.

The Protector Series pet door design is identical to the popular Ideal Ruff Weather Pet Door models, the only difference being the included Alarmed Security Panel.
