Note: Many customers prefer this insert to higher costing panels because they can easily put-in and take-out this panel very easily. Often the dual pane units are much heavier due to the glass. If the weather or temperatures become too severe, this unit can be removed and set off to the side with very little effort. Chances are your pet would not be going outside it the weather were extreme.

You know your pet best - double check the opening and rise selected to ensure best fit
Pet Opening 5 x 8: Appropriate for cats up to 14 lbs., and some toy breed dogs
Rise Options: This unit comes standard with a 2.5" high step over rise, an optional 4" custom rise is available.
Weatherstripping: Included foam bumper and vinyl draftstopper for gap between slider and fixed panel.
Adjustable height range 80 1/4" to 93 3/4": The top section floats on two tension rods. You simply compress the top and fit it in the track, then release the top. A thumb bolt on either side near the top secures the top section so the Patio Pet Door cannot be removed from the outside. This unit will have a custom extension piece based on the height you provide us. This custom piece will sleeve into the top of the main Patio Insert to provide you the proper height. Larger extension pieces may be more secure if you use a couple of screws to secure the extension piece in place - on the interior side of the panel. (Not included).
Push Pin Lock included: We strongly suggest chocking the door with a stick as this immobilizes your slider. We also have accessory sliding door locks that you may use.
Installation Location: Most customers install next to the sliding door. Can be mounted on the fixed side of the slider. Some fixed windows are molded in and for those, this will not work. Others, have stoppers either in the bottom or top track that keep the fixed side stationary. If you remove the stoppers, you can pull out the fixed side far enough to accept the patio insert.
Security Panel: Includes a slide in locking panel to use when you want to "lock off" the pet opening.
