The Ideal VIP Hefty Cat Patio Pet Door is made specifically for Vinyl Sliding Patio Pet Doors. The frame of the insert is thicker and heavier than other patio panels on the market. (More closely matches your existing slider doors). The VIP will fit sliders with frames of 1 1/2"-1 3/4" thick. Your sliding door can lock directly into the patio insert. Because of this locking design, it is necessary to permanently install the patio insert with the accompanying hardware. This patio pet door is a better option for customers who want to install an insert and leave it in.

(Note: This product is the same as the Ideal VIP, but uses the Ideal Hefty Cat pet door).
