The Stairway Special Dog Gate is designed specifically as a one direction operating gate. A stop
bracket is part of the latching mechanism so that the gate cannot be opening towards the stairs. The latch system can be operated by
one hand and yet is quite effective with very young children. The gate is constructed with lightweight rust-proof aluminum and comes in either Black, White or Brown finish.
Included with your purchase is stainless steel mounting hardware that you can use as an option when mounting outdoors. The gate itself is aluminum construction to be rust proof. Two extensions are available to increase your gate width to either a maximum of 53" or 64". This gate is designed primarily for use with stairways and staircases but can be used in doorways, narrow entries and hallways.
