We just recently purchased this scratching post and the cat seems to like it. She rubs the top of her head on the perch a lot. I thought she may use that portion of the post that's why I settled on this design. She did, so it has served us well on that end.
There isnt a whole lot in the world of variety in the scratching post section, but they are far less expensive than the tree.. which I was seriously considering. I just dont know that my cat would love a cat tree and she better love the heck out of one for 300+ dollars.
